BWPR – Back When Punk Ruled – The Hard Ons
The Hard-Ons are still making music today, but the late 1980s is when they held considerable value for fans of the power trio. Hailing from Australia the band started recording records as kids. You quickly learn they were young by digesting the lyrics; passionate, reckless, and aggressive. I discovered The Hard-Ons records when I was 14 years and I was immediately hooked, at the time I thought Minor Threat was cutting edge. But I’ve always been a fan of punk rock trios that feature distortion given the allotted fidelity of the time. Check out the mastery of skills on “Throw it In”, a tribute to teenage love.

A world wide trio claiming Sri Lanka, Yugoslavia, and Korea the band has notable albums that belong in your collection.
•Surf My Face (EP 1984)
• Hot For Your Love Baby (1987)
•Dickcheese (1988)
•Love is a Battlefield of Wounded Hearts (1989)
…These are my favorites but there are dozens move. The Hards-Ons never made a bad album they just kept being the Hard-Ons. There artwork is highly recognizable, see the following examples.
